Only completed records already fetched by the site are shown. This is a partial archive; an absent result does not mean the launch failed. No extra archive API requests are made.

Launch status

Select a status badge to see what it means.

A schedule status is not a guarantee of liftoff. Confirm launch progress with the operator’s coverage.

Schedules are refreshed through the existing shared cache. Normal feed records may omit webcast, booster or timeline details; open the existing mission-details page to check its fuller source record. Saved calendar entries do not update automatically when a launch moves.

Mission details

The first mission of Blue Ring, Blue Origin's all-in-one, high-powered hybrid solar electric and chemical propelled spacecraft, will test the spacecraft's operations in Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO), as well as subsequent operations after reaching Geostationary Orbit (GEO). It will carry one of Scout Space's flagship next-generation space domain awareness (SDA) Owl sensors, which is designed to enhance real-time tracking, characterization, and assessment of space objects by integrating advanced optical sensing, onboard artificial intelligence-driven processing, and autonomous decision-making capabilities to deliver domain-wide intelligence in space in support of the U.S. Space Force’s space control mission set. Blue Ring will also carry Optimum Technologies (OpTech)'s next-generation Caracal optical payload, which is designed to provide actionable insights on resident space objects and orbital activity and includes onboard image storage, object detection algorithms, and passive thermal control. The payload is designed to operate flexibly across dynamic orbits over a year-long mission profile. Several internal Blue Origin payloads will also be hosted.

Launch time, window and countdown

The displayed local time is converted by your browser from the published international timestamp. Spaceflight schedules frequently use terms such as NET (No Earlier Than), TBD or broader day/month targets. Spaceflight Now explicitly distinguishes NET and TBD on its public schedule, and NASA also publishes launches with labels such as “No Earlier Than” and “Under Review.” For that reason, this page shows the upstream time precision instead of treating every date as equally firm.

Use the Next Rocket Launch page for the nearest mission, or compare more missions on the launches this week page. If a countdown reaches zero, confirm the operator’s live coverage before assuming liftoff occurred; holds and scrubs can happen very late in the sequence.

Rocket and launch site

New Glenn is listed for this mission with Blue Origin. The current launch record places the mission at Launch Complex 36A · Cape Canaveral SFS, FL, USA.

Launch pads and ranges matter because azimuth restrictions, overflight safety, recovery zones and target inclination can constrain when and how a mission flies. Browse the Rocket Launch Sites page to compare other active locations represented in the upcoming schedule.

After liftoff: continue tracking

If this mission deploys Earth-orbiting spacecraft, they can appear later in Recently Launched Satellites once public orbital elements are available. For spacecraft travelling beyond Earth orbit, use the Deep Space section. The launch event and the later orbital catalogue are separate datasets, so payload tracking may not be available immediately after liftoff.

Sources and schedule caveats

Launch schedule data and associated imagery on this page come from Launch Library 2 / The Space Devs and are cached server-side by SpaceTracker.live. Schedule records can change as providers update readiness, weather, range coordination or mission constraints.
