Terms & Conditions
Welcome to SpaceTracker.live.
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of SpaceTracker.live, including our satellite trackers, deep-space trackers, maps, pass-prediction tools, satellite directories, educational content, blog content and other website functionality.
By accessing or using SpaceTracker.live, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the website.
1. Purpose of SpaceTracker.live
SpaceTracker.live provides educational, informational and recreational tools relating to satellites, space stations, orbital objects and deep-space missions.
The website currently includes tracking experiences for spacecraft such as the International Space Station, Tiangong Space Station, Hubble Space Telescope, Starlink satellites and deep-space missions including Voyager spacecraft.
The service is not an official spacecraft-control, mission-control, aviation, navigation, defense or emergency system.
2. Satellite and Space Data
Space-related information displayed by SpaceTracker.live may be calculated or derived from third-party data sources.
Earth-orbit tracking currently uses orbital information associated with CelesTrak and SGP4-based calculations, while deep-space mission pages use ephemeris information associated with NASA/JPL Horizons. Maps use OpenStreetMap data.
We make reasonable efforts to present useful information but cannot guarantee that every position, distance, altitude, velocity, pass time, orbital element or prediction will always be complete, current or error-free.
3. Tracking Accuracy
Satellite positions and pass predictions depend on factors including:
- orbital-element freshness;
- spacecraft maneuvers;
- mathematical propagation;
- observer coordinates;
- timing;
- data-provider availability;
- network delays;
- browser/device limitations.
A predicted geometric pass does not necessarily mean a satellite will be visible to the naked eye.
Visibility may depend on illumination, weather, cloud cover, atmospheric conditions, brightness, terrain and other factors.
4. No Safety-Critical Use
You must not rely on SpaceTracker.live for:
- aircraft navigation;
- maritime navigation;
- spacecraft operations;
- collision avoidance;
- military operations;
- emergency response;
- safety-critical engineering;
- legal or regulatory compliance;
- any situation where inaccurate information could cause injury, damage or loss.
For professional or operational requirements, consult the relevant authoritative data provider or agency.
5. Observer Location
Certain tools allow you to enter coordinates or request browser location access to calculate observer-specific information.
You are responsible for ensuring that coordinates you enter are appropriate for your intended use.
Location-based predictions remain estimates and should not be treated as guaranteed observations.
6. Acceptable Use
You may use SpaceTracker.live for lawful personal, educational, research and informational purposes.
You may not:
- interfere with website operation;
- attempt unauthorized access to restricted systems;
- bypass security controls;
- intentionally overload our servers;
