Solar and lunar eclipse calendar

Solar eclipse eye safety

Never look directly at the Sun through ordinary sunglasses, a camera viewfinder, binoculars or a telescope without an appropriate solar filter. Why eclipse seasons repeat

Eclipses do not happen every New Moon or Full Moon because the Moon’s orbit is tilted by about five degrees relative to Earth’s orbital plane.
